Medannex公司获得Innovate UK资助，开展一项针对儿童骨肉瘤新疗法的研发项目，项目资金为31.3万英镑。该项目将利用MDX-124这一针对annexin-A1蛋白的创新疗法，在临床研究中治疗这种罕见的儿童癌症。MDX-124在前期临床测试中显示出抑制癌症生长和扩散的能力，并能够激活免疫系统攻击肿瘤。该项目由来自剑桥大学和世界领先的儿童肿瘤学家组成的团队共同推进，旨在满足骨肉瘤患者对新疗法的迫切需求。英国约65%的骨肉瘤儿童在诊断后5年内存活，但转移性疾病患者的存活率仅为24%。Medannex首席执行官Ian Abercrombie表示，公司对Innovate UK的资助表示感激，并期待与科学合作者和临床顾问一起推动项目进展。英国创新英国将资助项目成本的23.1万英镑，其余部分由Medannex承担。
