试验目的

The main objective of the current study is to make a comparison between total thyroidectomy with prophylactic central compartment neck dissection and that without it. It specifically relates to papillary thyroid cancer with clinically negative cervical LN metastasis. The study mainly concentrates on the complications rate and the risk of recurrence of the disease.

入选标准

Cases with early thyroid cancer of the papillary type (T1, T2 N0 M0), previously diagnosed with FNAC or histopathological surprise in patients who underwent complete thyroidectomy.；

排除标准

1.Papillary thyroid tumor but unfit for operation, associated with metastasis, associated with clinically positive cervical LNs (central or lateral). 2.Recurrent papillary thyroid tumor, with or without previous thyroid operation. 3.Locally advanced papillary thyroid cancer (T3, T4). 4.Micro papillary thyroid cancer.；
