入选标准

1. Patient 18-60 years old; 2. Planned major abdominal non-malignant gynaecological surgery 3. Planned open midline surgical incision 4. Willing and able to give consent 5. ASA (American Society of Anaesthesiologists) Class 1 to 2.；

排除标准

1. Patient refused either intravenous PCA or lignopad?; 2. Contraindicated to lignopad?: hypersensitivity to local anaesthetics of the amide type; inflamed or injured skin peri-surgical site (e.g. atopic dermatitis, open wounds); 3. Planned transverse or oblique incisional approach; 4. Allergy or tolerance to opiates; 5. Extensive existing midline abdominal scarring; 6. Unable to communicate in English or Chinese.；
