The effect of an game-based exercise training program on promoting physical fitness and mental health in children with autism spectrum disorder
(1) to test the effectiveness of a supervised game-based exercise training program in promoting motor skills, physical fitness, as well as reducing stereotypical and maladaptive behaviours in preschool children with ASD, as the primary outcomes; language skills will be improved as secondary outcomes; (2) to evaluate the efficacy of this program to be conducted by the front-line healthcare providers or PE teachers through the train-the-trainer approach.

Children who are aged from 4 to 6 years old with a formal diagnosis of either Autism, Autistic features, Autism Spectrum disorder, Asperger Syndrome, Pervasive Developmental Disorder by Developmental Paediatricians or Clinical Psychologists based on the Fourth Edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorder (DSM-IV) will be invited to join the study;
