To evaluate the long-term benefits of a physical exercise and cognitive-behavioral intervention program in alleviating pain intensity, pain-related functional difficulties, depressive symptoms, quality of life, and muscle strength among older adults with chronic musculoskeletal pain in Hong Kong.

The Principal Investigator will use a true random number generator to assign different elderly centers and hospitals/clinics into treatment and control groups. To ensure there are equal clusters in each group, the principle of restricted randomization will be applied.

(1) aged 60 years or above; (2) moderate chronic pain operationalized as scoring 40 points or more on the pain intensity subscale of the Chronic Pain Grade questionnaire; (3) mild depressive symptoms with CES-D-10 >=4; (4) native Chinese speakers; and (5) basic ability to read and write.；
请登录查看(1) insufficient fluency in Cantonese; (2) cognitive impairment with SPMSQ ≥3; (3) Basic activities of daily living subscale in OMFAQ <21 (i.e., impaired); and (4) hearing or speech impairments or illnesses precluding participation in activity intervention. Informed consent will be obtained from all participants (Appendix 1).；
