Effectiveness of telehealth in preventive care: A randomised controlled trial of tele-exercise programme involving elderly with possible sarcopenia or at risk of fall
Primary objective 1. to evaluate the effectiveness of tele-exercise on physical function and exercise adherence among the elderly with possible sarcopenia or at risk of fall in comparison with a community-based group. Secondary objectives 2. To evaluate the elderly’s experience with tele-exercise, with an emphasis on their psychological welfare, social wellbeing, and acceptance of the telehealth approach.

In order to avoid contamination among recruited subjects from the 10 community centres, subjects were randomized by locations using a simple random drawing procedure.
Assessors will be blinded for the treatment of the participants.

1. permanent residents of Hong Kong 2. aged 65 years or above living independently at home 3. diagnosed with possible sarcopenia and/or having either a fall in the past year or fear of falling with a score of >= 20 points on FES-I 4. able to speak and listen to Cantonese 5. able to walk without mobility aids in their home；
请登录查看1. diagnosed with dementia or cognitive impairment 2. severe vision impairments that do not permit the using of tablet, reading of the exercise-booklet, and completing the activity diaries 3. unable to pass the preparticipation Health Screening of American College of Sport Medicine (ACSM) 4. regular physical activities in the past 6 months based on the definition of WHO (Word Health Organization 2020).；
