The null hypothesis of the study was that platelet rich plasma (PRP) will significantly relieve pain in patients of lateral epicondylitis from the 4 weeks to 24 months as compared to steroid injections.

We included patients that were 18 years and above and had lateral elbow pain for more than 12 weeks and were dissatisfied with the results of previous conservative treatment options. The diagnosis of tennis elbow was established clinically if the patients had lateral elbow pain with the maximum of point of tenderness at the insertion of extensor carpi brevis (ECRB), and the pain intensified on gripping, resisted wrist extension and compression of lateral epicondyle.；
请登录查看Patients were excluded if they had previous surgery on the affected elbow or a traumatic injury on the affected limb, patients with pain around the medial epicondyle, patient not willing to participate in the study and history of alcohol or patient not able to follow commands due to any neurological issue or psychiatric issue.；
