1. To evaluate if specific characteristics of fundus images are significantly associated with depression compared to healthy individuals; 2. To explore using fundus retinal images as a screening tool for detecting depression.

入选标准

1. Aged > 18 years; 2. Willing to sign the informed consent; 3. Willing to comply with procedures required in the protocol; 4. Cases: Adults who are clinically diagnosed with depression (with or without comorbid diagnoses) by a psychiatrist; 5. Controls: Adults without a diagnosis of depression.；

排除标准

1. Poor retinal images quality that cannot be used in the analysis; 2. Subjects with other eye diseases are unsuitable for retinal imaging, such as severe cataracts, glaucoma, atretopsia, and corneal plague; 3. Subjects are distressed with a flashlight or have experience with photosensitive seizures; 4. Unwillingness or inability to comply with procedures required in the protocol.；
