Feasibility, Acceptability and Effectiveness of a Tailored Multidimensional Intervention for Dementia Family Caregivers in Caregiving and Mental Health Crisis: A Pilot Randomised Controlled Trial
This study aims to develop and implement a pilot randomised controlled trial to assess the feasibility, acceptability, and effectiveness of an individual-tailored and multicomponent programme among dementia family caregivers at moderate-to-high levels of caregiving burden and mental distress.

Simple randomisation will be applied to assign participants in each stratum to intervention group or control group, with a ratio of 1:1. Central randomization via randomization lists realized by an online procedure of the Sealed Envelope. To obtain the same number of subjects in the intervention and the control group, we used a randomized block design.
Single blinding will be applied for outcome investigators.

1.aged 18 or over; 2.family members (a son, a daughter, a parent, a spouse, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, siblings or other relatives) who take primary responsibility of caring for their relatives; 3.caring for older adults aged ≥60 years with dementia in care needs; 4.(4) suffering moderate to high levels of caregiving burden (Zarit Burden Inventory-12>=21) and mental distress (Patient Health Questionnaire - 9>=10 or General Anxiety Disorder-7>=10), 5.Chinese ethnicity.；
