The effectiveness of the Nurturing Effective Teams and Continuous Quality Improvement (NET-CQI) program in improving Nurses' Work Environment
A quasi-experimental study will be conducted to examine the effectiveness of the Nurturing Effective Teams and Continuous Quality Improvement (NET-CQI) program to improve nurses work environments in tertiary hospital units in the Philippines. Specifically, this study aims to: 1. To determine the effect of NET-CQI program in improving: Nurse Outcomes (job satisfaction, burnout experience, intention to leave), and Unit and Hospital Outcomes (perceived care quality); 2. To describe the NET-CQI program in terms of fidelity, dose, reach, implementation, and context (process evaluation). In addition, secondary aims of this study include: 1. To explore the nurses perceptions about the NWE improvement program and their experiences throughout the intervention period; 2. To describe the impact of the NET-CQI program, if any, on other healthcare workers, patients and their carers.

The intervention and control sites will be in difference hospitals in different provinces, hence, contamination between groups will be avoided but the intervention group nurses are aware that they are participating in the program. Single blinding will be observed by having a different set of data collectors for baseline and post intervention. Post intervention measures will be done by data collectors who are blinded to the intervention group assignment.
